| Taken in a field behind J. T. Berry, a
former mental health facility/Tuberculosis Hospital/State reform school, this
image invites the view into the mind of a patient as they imagine themselves
outside of their room, playing as a child should. For many patients the only
way to leave the facilities would be inside their own imaginations. The gray
represents the drab life inside the asylum contrasted by the colors of the
outside world. The bed sheet, bed, and draws/locker are all authentic to this
site.
